THE DARK waters of Lake Baroon are held back by the dam built in 1989, blocking off the Obi Obi Creek at the edge of the Kondalilla National Park. Although this is one of the wettest areas of Australia, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and a very dry summer has meant the water level was a lot lower than would be expected at this time of the year. |
